DESCRIPTION
This day will pick up the traveler from your hotel in Cusco at 7:45 to 8:00 am. and we will depart towards the sacred valley of the Incas, where we will be able to appreciate beautiful and picturesque natural attractions.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Biking – Santa María
This day will pick up the traveler from your hotel in Cusco at 7:45 to 8:00 am. and we will depart towards the sacred valley of the Incas, where we will be able to appreciate beautiful and picturesque natural attractions.
We will arrive at approximately noon at Abra Málaga (4350 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our Bicycle Tour for approximately 4 hours, descending towards the high jungle, passing through small crawling villages, fruit fields and rivers.
We will arrive in Santa María at 5:00 to 6:00 pm. and during the descent through the valley we will have the support of our 4×4 vehicle in case of emergency which will accompany you until the end of the route. We will spend the night in family lodgings.
Day 2: Trekking Santa María – Santa Teresa
We get up at 5:00 am. and after breakfast we start walking along the banks of the Urubamba River.
We will continue the walk along an ancient Inca trail. In the course we can witness animals from the region such as birds (parrots, hummingbird, eagles), wildcats, centipedes, lizards, medicinal and fruit plants such as bananas, mango, orange, tangerines, cocoa, pacay and coca crops, coffee, etc. . Then we will arrive at the small town Quellomayo where we will rest and have our lunch.
We continue our walk until we reach the Medicinal Thermal Baths of Santa Teresa. After a relaxing bath, we head to the town of Santa Teresa arriving at approximately 5:00 pm. We will spend the night in family lodgings.
Day 3: Trekking Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes “Machupicchu”
After breakfast we continue with our group itinerary walking near the river where we can take a bath if you wish. Walking until we reach the hydroelectric train station, where we will rest and have lunch. Again from there we will undertake the walk of approximately 2 hours towards our destination: Aguas Calientes, where we will settle in our lodging. At night you can take a walk through the town. Remember that breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging are included.
Day 4: Machupicchu – Cusco
Around 4:00 am we will get ready to head to the Inca citadel of Machupicchu. A way up through the jungle, thus having the opportunity to see the sunrise, after checking in the control of the park 6:20 am.
We will appreciate the sunrise, if luck accompanies us, then we will continue with the guided tour of Machupicchu visiting places such as the Intiwatana, Temple of the Condor, the Sacred Rock and others. The guide is 2 hours approx. Then, you will have free time to climb, if you wish, to the mountain of Huaynapicchu (admission is not included), from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the citadel of Machupicchu.
