We will arrive at the town of Mollepata (2850 m), where we will make a mandatory stop at the municipal control point to register our entry, pay PEN 20 (entrance to Laguna Humantay + Salkantay trail permit), and enjoy a buffet breakfast (not included in the service. You can request a takeaway breakfast from your hotel).

Transfer to the trailhead (55 min)

Ascent to Laguna Humantay (2 h 15 min)
We will leave our backpacks at the camp and begin the steep climb to Laguna Humantay (4200 m). The effort is worth it: its turquoise waters and the imposing Humantay snowcapped mountain in the background create one of Peru’s most beautiful postcards.

At the lagoon
Plenty of time to contemplate, explore, take photos, and listen to our guide explain the sacred meaning of this lagoon for the Andean communities.

Descent (1 h 30 min)
We will walk back down to the camp in Soraypampa after enjoying the lagoon.

Free afternoon at Mountain Sky Huts
You can explore the surroundings or rest in our exclusive huts with panoramic windows facing directly toward the Salkantay snowcapped mountain. Equipped with beds, blankets, and pillows, they are the perfect place to recover your energy.
