DESCRIPTION
The inhabitants of the Floating Islands of Los Uros call themselves “Kotsuña” which means “The man of the lake”, and their origins date back to pre-Inca times. It is located north of the Bay of Puno, 6 kilometers from the Lacustrine Port, at an altitude of 3,827 masl (The highest lake in the world). The cold and dry climate characteristic of the region is attenuated in the area thanks to the action of the masses of water that constantly evaporate. The average temperature at night is 10º C thanks to the regulatory action of the lake water that receives the sun’s rays during the day, and at nightfall distributes the accumulated heat.

Pickup and transfer on tourist transport from the accommodation to the bus station in the city of Cuzco.

Departure time of the interprovincial transportation from the bus station in the city of Cusco to the bus station in the city of Puno.
DAY 2: UROS FLOATING ISLANDS – TAQUILE – CUSCO

Arrival of the interprovincial transportation at the bus station of the city of Puno.
Pickup and transfer from the bus station to our private waiting room in the city of Puno where the travelers can have breakfast. After that, transfer to the ship’s port of departure.

Departure time of the boat from the port of Puno and the beginning of the guided visits to the tourist attractions of the Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile.
